Dr. Bud Bierman is now available for special meetings as the Gospel Fellowship Association staff evangelist. He served as director of church planting for GFA from 2006 to 2011. He previously served as the director
of alumni affairs for the Bob Jones University Alumni Association for 35 years.
During that time he devoted 23-24 weeks a year to conducting special meetings
throughout the country. He was also the coordinator for the Bible evangelism major
at the University.
He has preached in nearly
1100 evangelistic campaigns, revivals, Bible conferences, and youth rallies
throughout forty-eight states and a number of foreign countries and has been a
popular speaker at Christian schools and summer camps. He has published several
articles on ecclesiastical separation, the Charismatic Movement, rock music,
and the relationship of the local church to the Christian university.
Dr. Bierman pastored the
First Baptist Church of Westfield, New York, for nearly seven years. During
that time, he led the church in a major building project. In addition, he conducted a daily radio
broadcast, taught in a Bible institute, organized a Christian music camp, and
served on the Board of Trustees and camp executive committee for Bethany
Fellowship of Independent Baptist Churches in Western New York and Pennsylvania.
In 1979, the San Francisco
Baptist Theological Seminary conferred upon him the honorary Doctor of Divinity
degree. In 1980, he was inducted into
the Fundamentalist Hall of Fame at Lucerne Christian Conference Center in Lucerne, California, and in 1984, he was awarded the Charles H. Spurgeon
Award by the Maryland Baptist Bible College, Elkton, Maryland, for "outstanding service and contending for the
faith." The BJU Alumni Association
presented him the 2006 "Distinguished Servant Award." He is included in the 1989 edition of "Who's
Who in American Christian Leadership" and in the 1992 edition of "Who's Who in
Religion." He also appears in "Who's Who
