GFA offers revitalization counsel to a church that has been declining for several years,
that has a pastor, and that wants an impartial outside source to evaluate the ministry, to
give counsel and to make suggestions for recovery.
At the church’s invitation, Dr. Bud Bierman, GFA Director of Church Planting, (see
biographical sketch under “Bierman Itinerary”) will come, or send a man in the GFA
Retired Pastor program, to the church for a weekend (Friday–Sunday) non-preaching
observation visit.
He will meet with the church leadership and at the close of the weekend give them his
observations and suggestions as well as send the pastor a written summation when he gets
back to the GFA office. Periodic contact will be maintained with the pastor to see how
the church is progressing. The only financial obligation for the church is to cover travel
expenses, provide weekend hospitality and motel lodging. If the church also wishes to
give a love offering, that will be appreciated but not required.
