Eric and Christine Mossman
Eric and Christine have been working in a church-planting effort in the Western Province of Cameroon since 2002. Eric came to Christ in 1988 and surrendered to full-time missions later that year, during his studies at Bob Jones University. Christine came to Christ when she was 10 and surrendered to the Lord at the age of 13. In 1991, after Christine went on a summer missions team to Kenya, the Lord burdened her heart towards the area of missions.
Eric and Christine work in a missionary team with Walter and Carol Loescher, Danny and Carrie Wright, Mark and Rachel Barilla, and Ellen Doyle. The area in which they minister is predominately Muslim. Of those who claim to be Christian, most belong to liberal denominations which know little of a true saving faith in Christ.
The focus of the team is to establish Bible-believing, indigenous churches, with a particular emphasis on training faithful men. In 2006, the Bible Institute of Cameroon was established to help accomplish this purpose.
One of the primary goals of the team in the coming years is to see churches established in each of the eight neighborhoods of the central town of Foumban, with each church being led by a trained national pastor and reaching out into its own and other surrounding communities. Eric and Christine have three children: Anna-Leisa (born in 1995), Charis (born in 2000), and Janessa (born in 2001).
